Scholarship Application:
Ocean View Writing Getaway

Deadline: May 5, 2022, 11:59pm EDT

A panel of judges will review submissions and make their selections based on a combination of merit and need. 

We can only consider one application per writer and recommend submitting your strongest work. It's fine if you submit work in a different genre than you would like to write at the program.

Requirements:

• Be a first-time Ocean View Writing Getaway participant who is 18 years of age or older as of Aug. 4, 2022.
• Prepare a brief biography, a paragraph describing your financial need and a brief personal statement telling us why you would like to attend, each 150 words or less.
• Format a single Word or PDF document with 3 poems (single spaced, one poem per page) or up to 3 pages of prose (double spaced). Excerpts of longer pieces are okay. Please note that if your submission exceeds these lengths and/or does not meet the formatting guidelines, we will not be able to consider it.
• Submit this online application with the files above.

We are unable to accept snail mail applications.

You are not required to officially register for Ocean View Writing Getaway to apply for this scholarship; however, you are welcome to register to secure your spot and we will give you a refund if you receive a scholarship.
